Everest Gokyo Ri trek (Everest Gokyo Ri trek)

Gokyo Ri (5360 m) lies in the Everest region. Everest Gokyo Ri is located on the west side of the Ngozumpa glacier, the largest glacier in Nepal. Gokyo is a small settlement of few stone houses. Gokyo Ri is a base to view the legendary Himalaya above 8000 meters Cho- Oyu, mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and Lhotse.  One of the most significant facial appearances is the sight of the marvelous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung (2922m). The rural gokyo valley, turquoise lakes festival and moonscape like glaciers count the Gokyo Ri trek worthwhile. The Everest Gokyo Ri trek route follows the same trial to the Everest Base Camp till Namche Bazar the home of friendly legendary Sherpas. We then head on our way following the rivers run off from the Ngozumpa glacier to Machhermo. We are welcomed by a string of cobalt blue lakes in the high mountain valley Gokyo. Gokyo Ri rises above the northern shore of Dudh Pokhari. From here Cho-Oyu is viewed up close.
